"A l'époque où je prenais des leçons avec le maître Sa'id Hormozi (m. 1976), les premiers motifs de cette pièce me sont venus naturellement en jouant du setâr. Des années plus tard, j'ai repris ces motifs, et en suivant la logique des modulations du radif, j'ai composé un pishrô qui porte la marque du jeu du setâr. Lorsque je me suis familiarisé avec le Mugham d'Azerbaïdjan, j'ai constaté que cette composition correspondait au style de cette tradition qui a beaucoup de points communs avec celle de l'Iran. Le rythme est en 6 temps lents, mais commence sur le 1er temps, ce qui diffère des habitudes iraniennes (Santur, par A. Mohâfez.)"

"At the time I was taking lessons with Master Sa'id Hormozi (d. 1976), the first patterns of this piece came to me naturally by playing the setār. Years later, I picked these motives, and following the logic of the radif modulations, I composed a pishrô which bears the mark of the setār playing. Once I became familiar with the Azerbaijani Mugham, I found that this composition reflects the style of this tradition that has much in common with that of Iran. The rhythm is a slow 6 beats, but it begins on the first beat, which differs from the Iranian habits. (Santur, by Ā. Mohāfez.)"
