Polyphonie à deux parties : le choeur formé de seize hommes chante un bourdon à l'unisson, tandis que le soliste brode à un intervalle de seconde au-dessus et au-dessous. Dans la partie non mesurée du début, les chanteurs modifient la structure du spectre harmonique en prononçant sur une même hauteur les voyelles [o-e-o].
Exécuté autrefois lors de la plus grande fête des rites du soleil levant (bua), cérémonie destinée à la fécondité humaine, animale et végétale. Pendant un jour et une nuit, plusieurs choeurs invités chantaient sans discontinuer dans le même espace."

Polyphony in two parts : the chorus of sixteen men sing a unison drone, while the soloist embroiders at intervals of a second above and a second below. In the non-measured part at the beginning, the singers modify the structure of the harmonic spectrum by pronouncing, at the same pitch, the vowels [o-e-o].
Formerly performed during the biggest fête of the rites of the risin sun (bua), ceremony intended for fecundity : human, animal and vegetable. During a day and a night, several invited choruses sing in relays without discontinuity, in the same space."
