"La mélodie suit les motifs du radif de Râst mais sur un rythme arabe ou turc courant en 10 temps (cf. piste 3). Une fois mémorisée, cette pièce peut aisément devenir un modèle mélodico métrique adaptable à d’autres modes, et finalement, une base d’improvisation, à
la façon d’un kereshme. Des années après avoir joué cette pièce (composée vers 1980) j’ai arrangé facilement une paraphrase en Esfahân (cf. CD I) et une autre en Shur. (Dotâr par Sirâjeddin Jurayev, setâr par J.During.)"
"The melody follows the patterns of Rāst radif but on a rhythm common in Arabic or Turkish tradition 10 beats (cf. track 3 above). Once stored, this piece can easily become a model melodic metric adapted to other modes, and finally, an improvisational basis, like a Kereshme. Years after playing this piece (composed around 1980) I arranged an easy paraphrase Esfahān (see CD I) and another in Shur. (Dotār by Sirājeddin Jurayev, setār by J.During.)"
