"Chant tenore (mot désignant le choeur polyphonique du centre de la Sardaigne) ; danse (ballu) exécutée a cappella par le "Coro di Bitti".
Quatre hommes. Pour mieux percevoir le rôle et la couleur des voix, il a été demandé aux chanteurs de différer l'entrée de chacune des parties. Successivement : bassu, contra, boghe, mesa boghe. Cette polyphonie est fondée sur l'accord parfait majeur. La boghe porte le texte, les trois autres voix font le cuncordu (le "choeur") en utilisant des formules syllabées sans signi
cation. Le choix des consonnes est soumis aux nécessités du rythme ; les voyelles sont de couleurs différentes de façon à remplir largement le spectre sonore : timbre aigu pour la mesa boghe (jeu des voyelles [i] et [e]), timbre plus grave pour le bassu et le contra ([a], [e], [o]).
Se chante en compagnie : fêtes, repas, etc.

Four men. The better to perceive the rôles and colours of the voices, it was asked of the singers to stagger the entry of each of the parts. Successively : bassu, contra, boghe, mesa boghe. This lyphony is based on the major triad. The boghe has the text, the three other voices make up the cuncordu (the "chorus") by using syllabic formulas (without meaning).
The choice of consonants determines the rhythmic progress ;the vowels are of different colours, largely
filling the sonic spectrum : high timbre for the mesa bughe (using vowels [i] and [e]), lower timbres for the bassu and the contra ([a],[É],[o]).
Sung at gatherings for fêtes, meals, and so on.
