"Psalmodie bouddhique par une douzaine de moines du collège tantrique de Gyütô. Titre : Rdo-rje 'jigs-byed dbang, "Initiation relative à Vajrabhairava", une forme farouche du bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.
Ensemble de voix d'hommes faisant alterner la récitation syllabique et l'emploi d'une technique vocale spécifique dite "voix rugissante du dieu de la mort" (Gshin-rje'i ngar-skad) ou, plus communément, "voix de mdzo" (mdzo-skad), le mdza étant un animal hybride, résultant du croisement du buffle et de la vache. La voix très grave favorise l'émergence de l'harmonique 10 (une tierce, trois octaves au-dessus du fondamental), effet systématiquement recherché par les moines et en particulier par "le maître de chant" (dbu-mdzad), notamment dans les monastères de l'école Dge-lugs-pa dont relève le collège tantrique de Gyütô."

Ensemble of male voices, alternating syllabic recitation and the use of a specific vocal technique called "the roaring voice of the God of Death" (Gshin-rje'i ngarskad), or more commonly "the voice of mdzo (mdzo-skad), the mdzo bein a hybrid animal, the cross of a buffalo with a cow. The very low voices aid the emergence of harmonic 10 (three octaves plus a third above the fundamental), an effect which is systematically sought by the monks, especially "the song-master" (dbu-mdad), notably in the monasteries of the Dge-lugspa school, to which the College belongs.
