descriptionabstract
The four-stringed jungga is the guitar of choice in Eastern Sumba, Indonesia. Playing a rhythmic combination of bass and melody notes, the guitarist accompanies himself on this love song, in which the lovers are actually successful in their flirtations. Ludu or ludung is a general term for a song accompanied by jungga.
