"Chant de table, supruli, par Avto Makharadze, Wazha Gogoladze, Ladimer Berdzenishvili. Titre : Lataria, "Loterie".
Trio d'hommes. Polyphonie de Gourie à trois voix : voix principale modzakhili dans la tessiture moyenne ; voix supérieure tskheba, "commençant" ; voix inférieure bani, "basse". Ce chant comporte alternativement des parties où la conduite des voix est horizontale, et des parties où elle est verticale, mettant en évidence une texture ou mélodique ou harmonique. Les parties horizontales sont chantées sur des syllabes sans signication ; les parties verticales, avec un texte. A la fin du chant, les trois voix se rejoignent à l'unisson.
Les chants de table sont chantés lors de banquets.
Ce chant fu créé à la fin du 19 siècle à l'occasion d'une compétition d'ensembles vocaux de Gourie. Le texte bien connu servit de base à une improvisation par trois hommes, d'où le titre "Loterie". Le texte, au célèbre poète du Moyen Age, Shota Rustaveli, est une méditation poétique sur l'amour."

Trio of men. Polyphony in three voices of Guria : principal voice modzakhili in the middle tessitura ; higher voice tskhaeba "beginning" ; lower voice bani "bass". This song has, alternately, some parts where the voice-leading is horizontal, and some parts where is vertical, bringing out textures that are either melodic or harmonic. The horizontal parts are sung on nonsense syllables, the vertical parts with a text. At the end of the song, the three voices come together in unison.
Table-songs are sung during banquets.
This song was created at the end of the 19th century for a competition of Gurian vocal ensembles. A well-known text served as a basis for an improvisation by three men, whence the title "Lottery". The text was borrowed from the celebrated poet of the Middlc Ages, Shota Rustaveli, and is a poetical meditation on love."
