"Grande danse collective, ahidus, chantée et accompagnée par des tambours sur cadre.
Choeur mixte chantant sous forme responsoriale; exemple d'hétérophonie isorythmique. L'ambitus mélodique est très étroit, quasi recto tono, avec un effet délibéré de masse : chaque chanteur utilise sa tessiture propre - et semble-t-il volontairement - de sorte que le spectre sonore est largement couvert par toutes les voix du choeur.

"Grand collective dance, ahidus, sung and accompanied by frame-drums.
Mixed chorus singing in couplets in responsorial form ; example of isorgythmic heterophony. The melodic range is very narrow, almost on a monotone, with a sought-after massive effect : each singer uses his own tessitura - and it would seem voluntarily - in such a way that the sonic spectrum is largel covered by the combin- ed voices of the cliorus.
