"Psalmodie bouddhique par des moines du monastère 'Bri-gung bka'-brgyud-pa. Extrait d'une invocation à la déesse Aphyi, protectrice de ce monastère.
Le passage retenu illustre le style de chant désigné en tibétain par le terme dbyangs (litt. "voyelles") et se caractérise par une solennisation du texte énoncé, obtenue par l'interpolation de syllabes sans signification entre les mots. La cohésion de l'ensemble est assurée par le maître de chant (dbumdzad) qui frappe sur un grand tambour sur cadre (rnga) et dont la voix puissante sert de référence aux autres participants."

The passage chosen illustrates the style of chanting designated in Tibetan by the term dbyangs (literally, "vowels") and is characterised by a solemnisation of the enunciated text, obtained by the interpolation of syllables without meaning between the words. The cohesio of the ensemble is done by the chorus-master (dbu-mdzad) striking a large frame drum (rnga), and whose powerful voice is a reference for the other participants."
