- L'enregistrement de la musique des Kenyah et des Modang a été effectué en 1977 par I Made Bandem avec Nicole Revel-Macdonald, et José Maceda pour les photographies qui l'accompagnent, lors d'un atelier organisé sous les auspices de l'UNESCO, de la Commission nationale indonésienne pour l'UNESCO et de la Direction de la culture d'Indonésie. L'atelier s'est tenu le long des affluents Klinjau et Telen de la rivière Mahakam dans le Kalimantan oriental, en Indonésie.
Le disque a été publié avec l'aide financière de l'UNESCO, en coopération avec le Département de recherche musicale du Collège de musique de l'Université des Philippines à Quezon City, en 1979.
La numérisation a été effectuée par le centre d'ethnomusicologie de l'Université des Philippines en 2024.
Contenu : FACE I - Kenyah. A - Musique pour divertissements, fêtes, célébrations ; B - Luth et orgue à bouche ; C - Chants et autres instruments de musique. CÔTÉ II – Modang. A - Chant rituel, gongs et tambours ; B - Autres instruments : flûte à anneaux, guimbarde, percussions en bambou ; C - Chants ; D - Guérison des malades.
The music of the Kenyah and Modang was recorded in 1977 by I Made Bandem with Nicole Revel-Macdonald, and José Maceda for the accompanying photographs, during a workshop convened under the auspices of Unesco, the Indonesian National Commission for Unesco, and Directorate of Culture of Indonesia. The workshop was held along the Klinjau and Telen tributaries of the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Published with financial assistance of Unesco, in cooperation with Department of Music Research, College of Music, University of the Philippines, Quezon City, 1979.
The digitization was carried out by the Ethnomusicology Center of the University of the Philippines in 2024.
