- Le dân est une joûte poétique chantée et improvisée. Un souffleur (mulaqqin) souffle au chanteur les mots du poète. Fasl ou Dhâ fasl ("Ceci est un chapitre") est une formule conventionnelle pour introduire un nouveau poème. Dhâ fasl gâl al-mutayyem ba-ftah abwâb al-'ishq ellî kânat makhtûma / Celui qui est éperdu a dit : Je vais ouvrir les portes de l'amour qui étaient bien closes
