"Chant diphonique xöömij.Deux airs enchaînés.
Sur un fondamental (165 Hz) nettement plus élevé que dans le style kargyraa qui existe également en Mongolie, le chanteur fait ressortir une mélodie pentatonique avec les harmoniques 7 ,8 , 9, 10, et 12 dans le premier air, et de plus l'harmonique 6 dans le second. Comme dans les autres techniques de chant diphonique, la cavité pharyngo-buccale sert de caisse de résonance à volume variable, permettant de sélectionner les harmoniques afin d'obtenir une mélodie."

"Two xöömi songs in overtone singing technique, in succession.
Over a fundamental (
165 Hz) decidedly higher than in the kagyraa style, also to be found in Mongolia, the singer produces a pentatonic air with harmonics 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 in the
first air, and adds harmonie 6 in the second. As in other techniques of overtone singing, the pharyngo-buccal cavity acts as a resonator of variable volume, allowing the selection of harmonies to the end of obtaining a melody."
