"Chant du théâtre populaire à caractère satirique, hat cheo, du Vietnam du Nord. Titre : Bai phù thuy, "Chant du sorcier", par Bac Nam Ngu s'accompagnant lui-même au tambour trôn de, et soutenu par un orchestre composé d'un luth en forme de lune dan nguyêt, d'une vièle à deux cordes dan nhi, de plusieurs tambours trông et d'un petit gong.
Chant d'homme, nasalisé, dans une tessiture aiguë, et sur un rythme syncope. Les paroles forment des couples de vers à six et à huit syllabes. Des mots ou des syllabes sans signication varient le dessin mélodique et rythmique.

"Satirical song, of the folk theatre of North Vietnam, hat chèo. Title : Bài hù thuy, "Song of the sorcerer", by Bac Biam Ngu accompanying himself on the trông dê drum, supported by an ensemble of a moon-shaped lute, in ngayêt, a two- string fiddle dan nhi, several drums trong and a small gong.
Man's song, nasalised, in a high tessitura, in a syncopated rhythm. The words make couplets of verse of six to eight syllables. Some words or syllables without meaning vary the melodic and rhythmic design.
